こんにちは！Lucです。（Miwakoの夫です）
私の出身はベルギーのブリュッセルです。ワッフル、ビール、チョコレートの国。そしてヨーロッパの首都でもあります。十代の後半にロスアンジェルスに行き、Miwakoに会い、UCLA（カリフォルニア大学ロスアンジェルス校）で言語学を学びました。その後大学院ではイギリスのバーミンガム大学で応用言語学を学びました。長崎大学医学部で８年間医学英語の教鞭をとりました。エスタミネーでは、医学英語、アカデミック英語、ディスカッションとプレゼンテーションのための英語、実用英語に加えて、私は料理をします。私は料理が大好きで（食べる方もですが）、ファミリーレシピがたくさんあるので英語のクッキングクラスでぜひみなさんとシェアしたいと思っています。ですからみなさん、英語にハングリーであろうと食べ物にハングリーであろうとエスタミネーにぜひお出でください！英語と美味しい食べ物でお腹が一杯になりますよ！ときにはベルギーワッフルも出てくるかも。

Hello all! I am Luc. ( Miwako’s husband). I’m originally from Brussels, Belgium, land of waffles, beer, chocolate, and sort-of capital of Europe, but moved to Los Angeles in my late teens where I met Miwako and studied linguistics at UCLA. Later, I studied applied linguistics at the University of Birmingham in the UK. I also taught medical English at the Nagasaki University School of Medicine for 8 years. Here, at Estaminet, besides medical, academic English, English for discussion and presentation, and practical conversation, and I also cook . I love cooking (and eating) and have a bunch of family recipes I’d like to share with you in English cooking class! So, whether you’re hungry for English or hungry for food, come to Estaminet for a fun, belly-filling mix of English, food, and the occasional Belgian waffle!
