This is inside Haneda Airport. The green view is quite refreshing.

昨年９月以来の東京。上の写真は羽田空港で、飛行機を降りて出口に向かう途中ですが、緑が気持ちいい。

This is my first time to visit this part of Tokyo where many government offices are.

今回はよくニュースに出てくる官庁街あたりに行ってみました。

It was scorching hot again and I was drawn to the cool mist being sprayed over the trees.

少し早く着いたので霞ヶ関の駅あたりのレストラン街で一息つこうと思っていたら、レストラン街が見当たらず、見渡す限り巨大な官庁のビル群。やっと教えてもらってたどり着いたイイノビル。猛暑の日差しの中ここの木たちはうるおいをもらっていました。わたしもミストにすり寄って行きました。

Inside the Iino Building. Each restaurant had a table in front and piled up many bento boxes. They were sold quickly by the government employees.

ビルの地下のレストラン街のほとんどのレストランの前には大きく山積みしたお弁当たち。昼時とあってあっという間に売れていってました。

I had this buckwheat noodle lunch with deep fried eggplant.

わたしは揚げナス入りのつめたいお蕎麦を注文。とってもおいしかったで〜す！

Walking along this street to Hibiya Park.

こういうところを通り、よく耳にはした日比谷公園を通り抜けて目的地へ。

I really liked this park with lots of trees.

都会のオアシス。お昼休みごろとあって多くの人がいました。

Found an old fashioned Showa-era style shop.

昭和風のお店もいいね。

… and sunflowers under the sun.

ギラギラ太陽によく似合うひまわり。

I found this poster inside the elevator. It sort of says “Try to use the stairs when you are walking two stories up and three stories down. It helps the environment, saves energy and is good for your health.”

法務省のみなさん。エコと健康、頑張ってくださいね。

This time I was in this historical building for two days designed by two German architects during the Meijji-era.

今回のお仕事はこの歴史記念建造物の赤れんがの中でありました。

東京の首都の顔を見た今回の旅でした。
